"I have always struggled with being told I am too much or too little of something, that I was ‘too black’ or ‘not black enough’. Some people will tell me that I wear too much makeup and others would say I’m not wearing enough makeup. I navigated through life thinking that was ok but learned recently that it really isn’t. I shouldn’t allow people to tell me things like that - it's quite frankly none of their business how I choose to present myself."
