Join us for the first Melbourne Women in Film Festival at the Treasury Theatre on 3 March!

This is the official event for the 2017 Melbourne Women in Film Festival, an event that celebrates and supports the work of women filmmakers and creatives across all disciplines in the industry, including directors, writers, producers, cinematographers, sound designers and editors.

MWFF celebrates the great films made by Australian women and advocates for gender equality in the Australian screen industry by providing a platform for established and emerging female filmmakers to exhibit their work to a Victorian audience.

From Friday 3 March until Saturday 4 March, MWFF offers audiences the chance to engage with the great work women do behind the camera and behind the scenes.

This year MWFF showcases films from the 1975 International Women’s Film Festival, offering a mini-retrospective of the Australian films and filmmakers featured at that event, along with a selection of contemporary shorts from a new generation of filmmakers.
